OE‑spec Oil Feeder Control Valve for Mitsubishi Engines ️
Why this part is needed
This precision valve regulates pressurized oil to critical systems like cam phasers, timing chain tensioner, and hydraulic lifters. With stable oil flow, your engine keeps correct valve timing, quiet starts, smooth idle, and efficient fuel burn. It’s essential for long engine life and reliable power on- and off‑road.
How it works
The ECU commands the solenoid to open or close passages that meter oil to the valve timing mechanism and other hydraulic components. By modulating duty cycle, it matches oil flow to load and temperature. Clean passages and a tight plunger seal keep response fast, holding timing advance precisely where the map demands. ⛽
What happens if it breaks
Stuck or weak operation causes rough idle, loss of low‑end torque, noisy chain on cold start, higher fuel use, and cam timing faults (MIL on). Prolonged failure can starve the tensioner, leading to rattle, chain stretch, and metal wear. Oil sludge or debris can jam the spool; replace the valve and change oil/filter to prevent repeat issues. ⚠️
