Exhaust rocker lever for Mitsubishi valve train ?

This precision rocker lever controls the exhaust valves so burned gases leave the cylinder at the right time. It is essential for clean combustion, stable idle, and full engine power. Built from hardened alloy with a low-friction tip/roller, it keeps valve timing accurate under high heat and high RPM.

How it works ?

The camshaft lobe pushes one end of the lever; the lever pivots and presses the exhaust valve stem open. Oil feeds the pivot to reduce wear, while the ground contact pad keeps lift ratio precise. Correct lash (or HLA operation) ensures quiet, efficient motion.

What if it fails

Ticking noise, loss of power, misfire, rough idle, higher fuel use, and illuminated check engine light. Prolonged use can burn valves, damage the cam lobe, contaminate oil with metal, and raise emissions. In turbo models, backpressure and heat can increase.

Tech tip βœ…

Install in clean oil, inspect cam and lash adjusters, set clearance to spec, and torque evenly. Best practice: replace in pairs/sets.
