Exhaust Valve — OE-Grade Replacement ?
Why this part is needed
Keep your Mitsubishi engine breathing right. This heat-treated exhaust valve seals the combustion chamber and releases burnt gases at the correct moment, restoring power, fuel economy, and clean emissions. It’s essential during head rebuilds, after overheating, or when fixing misfires and low compression.
How it works ?
Driven by the cam through a rocker, the valve opens to purge exhaust, then closes via spring force to hold compression. A precision-ground face mates the seat for a gas-tight seal, while the low-friction stem runs in the guide to maintain timing and durability under high heat.
What happens if it’s damaged ⚠️
Symptoms include rough idle, loss of power, backfire, hard starts, high EGT, and poor economy. A burnt or bent valve can overheat the catalyst; in severe cases it may contact the piston, causing costly head and cylinder damage.
Pro install tips
Measure guide clearance, replace stem seal, lap to seat, set lash/torque, and fit new gaskets for a lasting repair.
