Engine Coolant Temperature Control Valve for Hyundai & Kia
This cooling system valve is needed to keep the engine at the correct working temperature in daily driving. It helps the motor warm up fast after start, then prevents overheating in traffic, hot weather, or under load. A stable temperature means better fuel economy, cleaner emissions, and longer engine life ?
How It Works
Inside the housing is a heat-sensitive wax element. When coolant is cold, the valve stays closed, forcing coolant to circulate mainly within the engine for quicker warm-up. As temperature rises, the element expands and opens the valve, allowing coolant to flow to the radiator for heat release. The opening is gradual, so temperature stays steady rather than jumping up and down ?οΈ
