Clutch Release Fork for Hyundai & Kia Manual Gearboxes ?

Why this part is needed

This component is a key link between your clutch pedal system and the clutch release bearing. Each time you press the pedal, it transfers force so the clutch can disengage cleanly. Without a strong, straight fork, smooth shifting is impossible, especially in stop-and-go driving.

How it works

The fork pivots on its mount inside the bell housing. When the slave cylinder or cable pushes it, the fork moves the release bearing against the pressure plate fingers. That action lifts clamping force off the clutch disc, allowing the engine and transmission to separate momentarily for a gear change. βš™οΈ

What happens if it’s worn or broken

A bent or cracked fork can cause hard gear engagement, grinding, clutch drag, or a pedal that feels inconsistent. In severe cases the pedal may drop, the vehicle may not go into gear, and the release bearing can wear out quickly. Replace at the first signs to avoid gearbox removal twice. βœ…

Technician tip

Always inspect pivot points, clips, and the release bearing contact area during clutch service for best longevity.
