Coolant Pump with Integrated Thermostat for Audi A4, A5, TT ?

Why your engine needs it ❄️?

This unit keeps the 2.0 TFSI running at the correct temperature. The pump moves coolant through block, head, turbo, and radiator, while the built‑in thermostat regulates warm‑up and operating temps. Proper flow prevents hotspots, detonation, oil breakdown, and power loss. If you demand stable performance in traffic and on highway pulls, this assembly is essential.

How it works ?

An impeller driven by the belt/drive spins coolant through passages. The thermostat uses a wax capsule that expands near its set point, opening the main circuit to the radiator. During cold start it stays shut, routing coolant through the bypass for fast warm‑up and lower emissions. Some versions include an electric heater for smarter control under load.

What happens if it breaks ⚠️

Symptoms include overheating, fluctuating gauge, heater blowing cold, coolant smell or pink crust at the housing, bearing whine, or fault codes like P0128/P2181. Continued driving can warp the head, blow the gasket, cook the turbo, and shorten oil life. A stuck‑open stat causes poor economy; stuck‑closed risks rapid overheat.

Fitment and pro tips ?οΈβœ…

Designed for popular Audi A4/A5/TT 2.0 TFSI platforms (EA888). Replace gasket and bolts, use fresh G12/G13‑spec coolant, and bleed air via the high point. Inspect belt and pulleys, and torque to spec on a cold engine. After install, verify fan cycles and cabin heatβ€”stable mid‑gauge means you’re good to go.
