Power Steering Rack Seal Kit for Honda CR‑V
This kit restores hydraulic sealing in the steering rack and pinion, stopping leaks and bringing back a light, precise wheel feel. It’s a cost‑effective fix versus replacing the whole rack. If your steering is heavy, the pump whines, or you spot fluid drips, the seals are likely hardened or cut and need renewal.
Why it’s needed
Hydraulic assist depends on pressure. Worn seals let fluid escape, aerate the oil, and starve the pump. Fresh seals keep pressure stable, protect bushings, and extend pump and rack life.
How it works
Durable lip seals, PTFE rings, and O‑rings lock in Honda PSF/ATF at the pinion shaft, rack piston, and end caps. Double‑lip designs with spring tension hold pressure during turns and temperature swings, delivering smooth assist and quiet operation.
If the seals fail
