This cup kit is a small but critical brake service part used inside the rear drum wheel cylinder. It replaces the worn rubber cups that hold hydraulic pressure. When you press the brake pedal, brake fluid pressure pushes the pistons outward; the cups seal the fluid so the pistons can force the shoes against the drum for safe stopping.
