This rear brake spring pin kit is a small hardware set with a big job: it keeps the rear brake shoes and return springs correctly seated inside the drum brake assembly. Why this kit is needed
Drum brakes rely on springs to pull the shoes back after braking. The pins and clips hold the spring hardware in the right position so the shoes move smoothly and evenly. Fresh hardware helps the brakes release cleanly, reducing drag and uneven wear.
How it works
The pins pass through the backing plate and shoe, then lock with retainers. This keeps the spring load stable, prevents shifting, and maintains proper shoe alignment during braking and release.
