Rear Wheel Brake Cylinder Repair Kit ?️
This service kit is used to restore a drum brake wheel cylinder on the rear axle. It is needed when you see brake fluid dampness inside the drum, a low or sinking pedal, uneven rear braking, or the handbrake feel changes after adjustment.
How It Works ✅
Inside the wheel cylinder, hydraulic pressure from the master cylinder pushes the pistons outward. The pistons spread the brake shoes against the drum to slow the vehicle. This kit renews the wear parts—seals, boots, and small internals—so the cylinder can hold pressure and move smoothly without leaking.
Why Replace It ?
Old rubber seals harden from heat and contaminated fluid. Dust boots crack and let dirt in, which scores the bore and causes sticking. Refitting fresh components helps bring back strong, balanced braking and keeps fluid where it belongs.
If It’s Broken or Worn ⚠️
A failing rear wheel cylinder can leak fluid onto the shoes, causing pulling, longer stopping distance, and sudden loss of rear braking. Continued driving may damage the drum, ruin brake linings, and overload the front brakes.
