Front Inner CV Boot Kit for Toyota
This kit is needed to reseal the inner constant-velocity (CV) joint on the front drive shaft. Its main job is to keep grease inside the joint and block water, sand, and road salt outside ?οΈ. A healthy boot keeps the joint running cool, quiet, and smooth during acceleration and steering.
How It Works
The flexible rubber boot expands and folds with suspension travel while clamps lock it tight on the shaft and joint housing. Fresh high-temperature grease coats the bearings so the joint can transmit engine torque at changing angles without binding.
Why Replacement Matters
When the boot cracks or the clamps loosen, grease slings out and dirt gets in. The joint then wears fast, creating vibration and clicking/knocking noises, especially on take-off. If ignored, the joint can seize or fail, leaving you with loss of drive and possible axle damage β οΈ.
