Engine PCV Ventilation Valve Assembly
Keep your Toyota V8 breathing clean and controlled with this precision Positive Crankcase Ventilation valve assembly. It meters blow-by gases from the crankcase back into the intake, balancing pressure, protecting seals, and cutting emissions . Built to OE flow specs and cracking pressure, it resists heat, oil, and fuel vapors for long life. Direct-fit design for quick, tool-light replacement.
Why this part is needed
Modern engines create blow-by under load. Without a calibrated PCV path, vapors build pressure, push oil past gaskets, and contaminate the intake. A healthy valve stabilizes idle, supports fuel economy, keeps the oil clean, and keeps the emission system compliant β .
How it works
Inside is a calibrated orifice with a spring-loaded plunger. Under intake vacuum, the plunger meters vapor flow from the crankcase to the intake. At wide-open throttle it opens further for higher flow; during a backfire it snaps shut to prevent flame travel. The result: steady vacuum, controlled crankcase pressure, and clean combustion.
What happens if itβs broken
Expect rough idle, whistle, or surging; oil leaks from seals; sludge in oil; increased fuel use; blue smoke; or a check engine light. A stuck-open valve causes lean running and misfires; stuck-closed builds pressure, blowing out gaskets and hoses β οΈ. Replace at the first signs to protect the engine.
