Manual Steering Gear Boot Kit ?️

This protective boot kit is fitted on the manual steering rack area to seal and guard the inner steering parts. It is needed to keep dirt, water, and road salt away from the rack joints, while holding grease where it belongs. A good seal means smoother steering feel and longer rack life.

How It Works ⚙️

The flexible rubber boot expands and contracts as you turn the wheel, following the steering movement without tearing. Tight clamps keep the boot seated, so the rack stays protected even on rough roads. By keeping lubrication inside, it reduces wear on the rack and tie-rod connections.

What Happens If It’s Broken ?

If the boot cracks or comes loose, grease leaks out and contaminants get in. Over time you may notice heavier steering, knocking noises, vibration, or uneven tire wear. Left too long, the steering rack can corrode and develop play, leading to expensive rack replacement and unsafe handling.

Replace boots in pairs when possible and check clamps for proper tension to prevent repeat leaks.
