Why this part is needed

Oil must stay where it belongs to lubricate bearings, gears, and seals. This ring holds pressure, prevents oil mist, and blocks dirt. Without it, lubrication drops and wear increases.

How it works

A flexible lip rides on the shaft with a thin oil film. A garter spring keeps constant edge tension. The outer shell press-fits the housing, while the inner lip tracks shaft motion, sealing in both static and dynamic modes.

If the seal is worn or broken ⚠️

Expect oil drips, burning smell, oily belts or clutch, low oil level, and noise from dry bearings. Prolonged leaks can cause misfires (if oil reaches ignition parts),slipping, and even unit failure.

Install notes

Clean bore and shaft, lightly oil the lip, orient spring toward oil side, press squarely to depth. Avoid dry running. Choose quality NBR/FKM materials for heat and fuel resistance.
