This rear impact beam is a hidden safety backbone mounted behind the bumper cover. How it works

The beam bolts to the rear body mounts and spreads crash energy across a wider area. This controlled load path helps protect the trunk floor, rear lamps, exhaust area, and sensor mounting points. When installed correctly, it supports the absorber and bumper skin for a solid, factory-tight fit.

If the beam is damaged

A bent or rust-weakened beam may cause poor bumper alignment, rattling, and reduced crash protection.
