Rear Ride Height Level Sensor for Subaru βοΈ
This unit keeps your vehicle level data correct, so your auto-level headlights aim where they should and your chassis systems read accurate body height. It mounts to the rear suspension (right side) with a small link rod and talks to the control module. Perfect for restoring factory safety, comfort, and visibility.
Why itβs needed
When you load passengers or cargo, the body angle changes. The sensor reports that change, letting the headlamp leveling system compensate instantly. This prevents glare to oncoming traffic and keeps your road view clear at night.
How it works οΈ
A lever on the sensor rotates with suspension movement. Inside is a precision potentiometer that converts angle to voltage. The module reads this signal and drives the headlamp motors to keep the beam level. Sealed housing and OE-style connector ensure stable output in heat, rain, and road salt.
What happens if itβs broken β οΈ
Headlights point too high or too low, a leveling warning appears, nighttime visibility drops, and inspection may fail. Common causes are a seized lever, corroded link, cracked wiring, or water ingress. Replace promptly to avoid glare and poor lighting.
