Why this part is needed

The boot is your first barrier against road splash and engine bay heat. It reduces NVH, stops oil smell after long climbs, and keeps lubrication on the lever joint free from contamination. A healthy boot also stabilizes the lever, improving shift feel.

How it works

A bellows-style EPDM rubber sleeve clamps to the floor pan/console and to the lever collar. As you shift, the folds flex smoothly, maintaining a tight seal around the control lever. The material resists oil, ozone, and UV, surviving wide temperature swings ️.

What happens if it’s broken
