Body Trim Clip for Side Mouldings

Why it’s needed

The moulding guards paint from door dings and debris. A solid fastener holds the strip flush, stops wind whistle, and prevents water entering at fixing points. Fresh clips keep alignment true and the look clean after years of off‑road shake.

How it works

A barbed stem snaps into the factory hole; the head locks into the moulding channel. The wedge profile spreads load so the trim stays flat under vibration. High‑grade polymer resists UV, salt, and temperature swings, avoiding corrosion around the aperture.

When the clip fails ⚠️

You’ll notice loose or crooked mouldings, buzzing at speed, and visible gaps. The strip can catch wind and fly off, scuffing paint and exposing bare edges. Dirt traps then abrade clearcoat and may start rust over time.

Install tips

Replace brittle clips; do not force re‑use. Clean the hole, align the channel, and press until a positive click. Work from center outward to keep the moulding straight.
