Rear Ride Height Sensor – Genuine Fit for Auto-Leveling Systems

This rear axle level sensor monitors suspension position and sends precise data to the vehicle control units. It keeps ride height correct under load, stabilizes handling, and ensures headlamps aim properly at night . Built to OEM standards for perfect fit and long life.

Why this part is needed

Proper ride height protects tires, suspension bushings, and driveline angles. When towing or hauling, the system uses this sensor to maintain level stance. It also feeds the headlamp leveling module so your lights stay aligned and safe for oncoming traffic.

How it works

A short link rod connects the sensor arm to the rear suspension. Inside, a sealed potentiometer/Hall element converts arm angle to a voltage signal (about 0.5–4.5V). The ECU then adjusts air/hydraulic leveling or commands headlamp stepper motors. Simple, accurate, and fast.

What happens if it’s broken

Expect a sagging rear, uneven stance, poor headlight aim, harsh or floaty ride, and warning lamps for leveling systems ⚠️. You may see ABS/VDC behavior changes. Common failures include seized linkage, cracked arm, or moisture ingress in the housing.

Tech notes

Direct bolt-on. Plug-and-play connector. Replace corroded link if worn. After install, perform height/aim calibration with a scan tool and torque brackets to spec .
