Why this part is needed

The switch directs 12V to ACC, ON, and START positions. Over time, contacts wear or arc, causing weak voltage and unstable circuits. Replacing the unit restores proper current flow, fixing no-crank complaints, dead accessories, and random engine cut-outs.

How it works

When you turn the key, a cam moves a multi-contact slider inside the housing. It first feeds ACC, then IGN, then a momentary START signal to the starter relay. Spring-loaded copper tracks ensure firm contact while the harness connector locks in for a secure, low-resistance path.

What happens if it’s broken

• No crank or only a single click
• Flickering dash, radio resets, blower drops out
