Premium Steering Rod Socket Kit for Precise Control

This steering rod socket kit (inner tie rod/rack end) links the steering rack to the wheel knuckle with a tight, low‑friction ball joint. It keeps the wheel angle accurate, absorbs road shocks, and holds alignment so the car tracks straight. Built to OE geometry and tolerances, it removes play in the column, sharpens on‑center feel, and improves feedback—ideal for daily driving and rough streets.

Why you need it ✅

Worn inner joints cause loose steering, wandering, clunks, and uneven tire wear. Fresh components restore correct toe, stabilize the contact patch, reduce braking distances, and protect tires and the steering rack from extra load. It’s a small part with a big safety role.

How it works ⚙️

A hardened ball runs inside a precision socket with a polymer liner and high‑moly grease. Fine threads set toe; a lock nut secures it. A sealed dust boot keeps grit out and lubricant in. When torqued to spec, the joint pivots smoothly while resisting axial play, sending your input to the knuckle instantly.

When worn or broken ❗

Expect knocks over bumps, shimmy at 60–100 km/h, saw‑tooth tire wear, and pull under braking. Moisture ingress leads to rust and rapid failure. In extreme cases the joint can separate, causing loss of steering. Continued driving also accelerates wear of the rack and the outer tie rod.
