This boot kit is a small but critical shield for the steering rack area. It is needed to keep grease inside the steering joint and to block water, sand, and road salt from entering. When the steering is working, the rack moves left and right; the flexible boot stretches and collapses with every turn, sealing the moving parts while allowing smooth motion.

How It Works ⚙️

The rubber bellows acts like a tight cover around the rack end. With proper clamps, it holds lubrication where it belongs and prevents dirt from grinding into the rack teeth and inner tie-rod joint. This helps maintain light steering feel and reduces wear on expensive steering components.

If the Boot Is Torn or Loose ?

A damaged boot lets grit and moisture attack the rack. Grease leaks out, steering can feel rough or noisy, and the inner joint may develop play. If ignored, it can lead to rack damage, alignment issues, uneven tire wear, and costly steering repairs.
