This front antiskid sensor is a key safety input for the ABS and traction control system. It is needed to measure how fast the wheel is rotating and report that data to the control unit in real time. How It Works ?

The sensor reads a toothed ring (tone ring) near the hub and converts movement into an electrical signal. The ABS module compares all wheel signals; if one wheel slows too fast, it pulses brake pressure to keep steering control and stability.

What Happens If It Fails ❗

If the sensor is damaged, dirty, or wiring is broken, the ABS/ESP light may come on. You may lose anti-lock braking and traction support, and the car can skid easier on wet roads. In some cases, it can cause false ABS activation, longer stopping distance, or speed-related warning faults.
