How It Works ⚙️

When you press the brake pedal, the master cylinder sends pressurized brake fluid through the steel lines and into this hose. The reinforced inner tube carries pressure to the caliper, where it forces the piston to clamp pads on the disc. The outer jacket protects against heat, road salt, vibration, and stone hits while the fittings seal the system.

What Happens If It’s Damaged ❗

A cracked or leaking hose can cause a soft pedal, longer stopping distance, and fluid loss. If the inner lining swells, it may act like a one-way valve—brakes can drag, overheat, and wear pads fast. In severe cases, pressure drops suddenly and braking power can be lost, making the vehicle unsafe to drive.
