Rear Drum Brake Shoe Kit for Nissan Pickup

This rear brake shoe kit is a key wear item for drum brake systems. It’s needed to restore safe stopping power, stable pedal feel, and proper parking brake hold βœ…. Fresh shoes help your rear brakes share the workload, reducing front brake overheating and keeping braking balanced.

How It Works

When you press the brake pedal, hydraulic pressure pushes the wheel cylinder outward. The shoes spread and press their friction lining against the inside of the brake drum, creating controlled drag that slows the vehicle. Return springs pull the shoes back after you release the pedal, while the adjuster keeps the clearance correct for consistent braking.

What Happens If It’s Worn or Broken

Damaged or thin shoes can cause longer stopping distance, grinding noise, vibration, pulling, brake fade on hills, and weak handbrake performance ⚠️. If lining separates or cracks, it may score the drum and overload the wheel cylinder, turning a simple service into a bigger repair.
