Front Differential Final Drive Gear Set ⚙️

This precision gear set is the heart of the front differential, designed to transfer engine torque from the driveshaft into the front axle. It is needed whenever the original gears are worn, noisy, or damaged, especially after heavy off-road use, towing, or running mismatched tire sizes.

How It Works ?

The ring and pinion gears mesh together to change the rotation direction and create the correct final drive ratio. Inside the differential, torque is then split to the left and right wheels, allowing smooth turning while keeping traction. Correct gear contact pattern and preload are critical for quiet running and long life.

If It’s Worn or Broken ?

Failed gears can cause whining or grinding, vibration on acceleration, metal flakes in oil, and loss of 4WD drive to the front axle. If ignored, it may overheat, seize, or break teeth, which can damage bearings, the housing, and even lock a wheel—turning a small repair into a major drivetrain rebuild.
