Why this part is needed

This seal set restores hydraulic tightness in the disc brake caliper. Fresh pressure seals and dust boots stop fluid leaks, keep dirt and water out, and maintain firm pedal feel. It’s the right fix when calipers weep, pistons stick, or pads wear unevenly—saving rotors and tires while improving safety.

How it works

Inside the caliper, a square-cut EPDM pressure ring seals the piston. Under pedal force, it flexes to hold brake fluid pressure. When you release, the ring’s elastic memory helps retract the piston for clean pad release. Outer dust boots shield the piston from grit and heat, and guide pin seals keep slides moving free. Designed for DOT 3/4 fluid and high temperature cycles .

What happens if the seals fail

Expect soft or sinking pedal, pull to one side, longer stopping distance, fluid on the inside of the wheel, pad drag, smoking brakes, warped rotors, and ABS warnings. Severe leaks can cause sudden brake loss—do not ignore wet calipers or uneven pad color.

Tech tips

• Clean bore and piston; replace pitted parts
• Lubricate with fresh brake fluid only
• Torque slide pins; bleed system thoroughly
