Premium Inner Drive Shaft Oil Seal

This precision seal keeps gear oil where it belongs and dirt where it doesn’t. Built for heavy-duty 4x4 use, it protects the differential and inner CV by locking in lubricant and blocking mud, sand, and water. A healthy seal means a quiet axle, steady temperatures, and long gear life.

Why it’s needed ️

Without a tight seal, gear oil seeps out, lubrication drops, and bearings, spider gears, and the ring-and-pinion wear fast. It also stops contaminants from reaching the splines and journal, preserving smooth shaft rotation.

How it works ️

An elastomer lip with a garter spring hugs the drive shaft journal, maintaining a micro-thin oil film for sealing. The steel case press-fits into the housing, and directional ridges help pump oil inward as the shaft spins. Heat- and abrasion-resistant edges handle off-road abuse.

What happens if it fails ⚠️

• Wet axle or underbody and a sulfur smell from gear oil drips

Replacement tips ✅

• Inspect and polish the shaft sealing surface; replace worn clips
