Intake Manifold Pressure Sensor for Hyundai/Genesis engines ⚙️

This MAP sensor reads real-time pressure in the intake manifold so the ECU can balance fuel and ignition. You need it to keep cold starts clean, throttle response sharp, and fuel economy stable. It is built to OEM spec for a precise signal and long service in hot, vibrating engine bays.

How it works

Inside is a piezoresistive chip that converts manifold pressure into a voltage (about 0.5–4.5 V). The ECU uses this with IAT and RPM to calculate engine load. Correct load = correct injector pulse and spark timing → smooth power, clean emissions.

If it fails

Expect rough idle, sluggish acceleration, misfire under load, hard starts, high fuel use, black tailpipe smoke, and a Check Engine light (typical P0106–P0108). In limp mode, power drops and catalytic converter life can suffer if you keep driving.

Tech tips

• Inspect vacuum port for oil/soot; clean gently, never poke the sensing hole.
• Check 5 V reference and ground before replacing.
• Clear codes and perform an idle relearn after install.
