Transmission Output Oil Seal for Nissan

Why you need it ️

This small seal keeps gearbox or CVT fluid inside the case where the drive shaft exits. It blocks dirt and water from entering. With a healthy seal, lubrication stays constant, bearings last longer, and the differential runs quiet.

How it works ️

A press-fit metal ring holds an elastomer lip and a tension spring. The lip rides on the axle stub and makes a tight, low-friction contact. A dust lip wipes away debris. The spring keeps pressure stable as parts heat and cool, so the joint stays dry.

If the seal fails ⚠️

You will see wet oil around the axle, drops under the car, or a burning smell on the exhaust. Fluid level falls, causing whine, shudder, harsh shifts, or differential wear. Ignoring leaks can lead to bearing damage and costly gearbox repair.

Tech tips for installation ✅

Clean the bore and shaft. Lightly oil the lip. Press square to the specified depth. Inspect the axle sealing surface for grooves. After refit, top up with the correct Nissan-approved fluid and check for leaks after a short road test.
