The temperature sensor is a vital component of your vehicle’s engine management system. How It Functions

This sensor is a thermistor, meaning its electrical resistance changes based on temperature fluctuations. As coolant temperature increases, the resistance decreases, and vice versa. This variance is communicated to the vehicle’s ECU (Engine Control Unit),which uses the data to calibrate various engine parameters, ensuring that the vehicle operates within optimal temperature ranges.

Consequences of a Malfunctioning Sensor
