Why You Need This Sensor

The TDC position sensor is essential for accurate engine timing. It monitors the crankshaft's top dead center position and sends signals to the ECU (engine control unit). This enables precise ignition and fuel injection, resulting in smooth engine operation, better fuel efficiency, and low emissions. Without it, your engine may struggle to start or perform poorly.

How It Works

This sensor detects the crankshaft's exact position using a magnetic or Hall-effect principle. As the crankshaft rotates, the sensor reads its location, sending real-time data to the ECU. The ECU then calculates the correct timing for ignition and fuel delivery to each cylinder.

What Happens if It Breaks

If this part fails, the engine may misfire, hesitate, or stall. In some cases, the car won't start at all. Fault codes ("Check Engine" light) appear, and engine performance drops sharply. Replacing a faulty sensor quickly restores engine health and prevents further damage.
