Why this part matters

Clear vision is safety. This small electric unit sends washer fluid from the reservoir to the nozzles, washing away mud, bugs, and road salt so your wipers can sweep clean. It prevents dry wiping that can scratch glass and keeps night glare down.

How it works

Powered by 12V, a sealed motor spins an impeller submerged in fluid. When you pull the stalk, the circuit energizes the pump, pushing pressurized fluid through hoses to the spray jets. A grommet seals the inlet at the tank, and a check valve helps the system keep prime for instant spray.

If it fails

No spray means smeared film on the windshield, longer reaction time, and possible inspection failure. A weak pump or air leak gives a dribble, not a fan. Shorts can blow the fuse, and dry wiping can wear blades and stress the wiper motor.
