Accurate evaporator feedback lets the climate control modulate the A/C clutch and airflow doors. You get consistent cabin comfort, improved fuel economy, and longer compressor and blower life.

How it works ⚙️

Inside is an NTC thermistor that changes resistance with fin temperature. The HVAC amplifier reads this signal and cycles the compressor around 0–3°C evaporator temp, squeezing maximum chill without freezing the core.

What happens if it’s broken ⚠️

Symptoms include weak or no A/C, random short cycling, iced evaporator with poor airflow, foggy vents, high humidity, or a clutch burning smell. You may also see HVAC fault codes on a scan tool.
