High-precision Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve

Why you need it

This component keeps your Toyota engine clean and compliant by lowering harmful NOx emissions. It recirculates a measured amount of exhaust back into the intake to cool combustion, reducing knock, improving part‑throttle efficiency, and helping your vehicle pass inspection. A healthy EGR system also prevents carbon hotspots and extends catalytic converter life.

How it works ♻️

Commanded by the ECU, an actuator moves a pintle to open a passage between exhaust and intake. The valve modulates flow only when warm and cruising, using feedback from a built‑in position sensor for accurate control. Precision seats, heat‑resistant body, and anti‑soot channels maintain stable flow and fast response. The result is smoother drivability, steady idle, and clean emissions.

If it fails ⚠️

Stuck closed: higher NOx, pinging under load, hotter chambers, and likely emissions failure. Stuck open: rough idle, stalling, hesitation, poor fuel economy, fuel smell, and a Check Engine light (codes like P0400–P0402). Ignoring faults can foul plugs and stress the catalyst. Replacement restores stable idle, throttle response, and legal emissions. After install, clean EGR passages, verify vacuum/hoses, and clear ECU adaptives.
