How It Works

Inside the housing, a wax-type element reacts to coolant temperature. When coolant is cold, the valve stays closed, keeping flow limited so the engine reaches operating temperature quickly. As heat builds, the element expands and opens the valve, allowing coolant to circulate through the radiator to shed excess heat. This automatic balance supports strong cabin heat, steady fuel economy, and cleaner emissions ✅
