Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor for Nissan/Infiniti ️

This ECT sensor feeds the engine computer precise coolant heat data. That info controls fuel mix, ignition timing, idle speed, radiator fan, and even A/C logic. With accurate temperature readings, you get smooth cold starts, stable idle, clean emissions, and the best fuel economy.

How it works

Inside is an NTC thermistor. As coolant warms, resistance drops. The ECU sends a reference voltage and reads the return signal to calculate real engine temperature. A sealed tip and calibrated response curve ensure fast, repeatable readings from cold start to highway heat.

Why you need it

Without proper temperature data, the ECU guesses. That means rich running, sluggish power, and higher fuel use. This sensor restores correct strategy across all driving conditions.

When it’s failing

Hard cold starts, high or hunting idle, poor MPG, black smoke, fan stuck on/off, overheating, temp gauge jumps, and a lit MIL with codes like P0115–P0119 are common signs.

Tech tips

Install on a cool engine. Use a new seal, tighten snug (do not over-torque),reconnect the plug cleanly, top up coolant, and bleed air. Clear codes and verify with a scan tool.
