Engine Crankshaft Bearing Pair Set ️

This bearing pair set is a critical internal engine part that supports the crankshaft journals and keeps the crankshaft running straight and smooth. It is needed to maintain correct oil clearance, reduce friction, and protect the crankshaft and engine block from metal-to-metal contact.

How it works ⚙️

Once installed, the bearing shells sit between the crankshaft and its housing. Pressurized engine oil forms a thin film that the crank “rides” on. This oil wedge carries load during acceleration and high RPM, keeping heat and wear under control and helping the engine stay quiet and efficient.

What happens if it’s worn or broken

If the bearings are damaged, oil pressure can drop and clearance becomes excessive. You may hear deep knocking, feel vibration, or see metal flakes in the oil. Continued driving can overheat the journal, spin a bearing, score the crankshaft, and lead to full engine failure. Replacing the set in time prevents expensive machining and protects long-term reliability.
