Boost/MAP Pressure Sensor for Turbo Intake System

This precision pressure sender keeps your engine smart and strong. By tracking real-time intake boost, it lets the ECU command exact fueling and ignition, delivering clean torque, fast throttle, and safe turbo operation. It also protects the motor under heat, load, and altitude changes.

Why this part is needed βš™οΈ

Accurate manifold pressure data is vital for air–fuel balance, knock control, wastegate strategy, and fuel economy. Without it, the ECU flies blind, risking power loss and component stress.

How it works

A sealed diaphragm and MEMS element convert boost into a stable 0.5–4.5 V signal. The ECU reads this, blends with IAT/MAF data, then sets injector pulse, ignition timing, and turbo duty. Result: smooth boost, steady idle, and crisp mid-range.

What happens if it fails ❗

Expect rough idle, turbo lag, flat spots, poor MPG, rich smoke, high emissions, and Check Engine Light (often P0236–P0238). The car may enter limp mode to avoid overboost; long-term, the turbo, cat, and pistons can suffer.

Tech notes and install tips ️

Mounts on intake manifold or charge pipe. Inspect connector pins and O-ring; keep oil out of the port. Clear codes and perform throttle/idle relearn if needed. Always verify boost leaks before condemning the sensor.
