Radiator Expansion Tank for Nissan Crossovers ❄️

Why this part is needed

This coolant reservoir stabilizes the engine’s temperature by holding extra antifreeze as it expands and contracts. It keeps the system sealed, feeds the radiator when cooling down, and helps maintain correct pressure via the cap. A healthy tank prevents overheating, air pockets, and costly engine wear.

How it works

When the engine warms up, expanding coolant flows through a small hose into the tank. As it cools, vacuum draws fluid back to the radiator. Level marks on the bottle show the correct fill at COLD/HOT. The cap’s valve controls pressure, improving boiling point and pump efficiency.

What happens if it’s broken ⚠️

Cracks, cloudy plastic, or a weak cap cause leaks and low coolant. Symptoms: overheating, gurgling, poor cabin heat, warning light, sweet smell, or puddles. Running low can warp the head, damage the gasket, and corrode the system. Replace at first signs to protect the engine.

Tech notes

Use the correct coolant type, fill to mark, bleed air, and inspect hoses/clamps and cap condition. Tighten mounts to manufacturer spec.
