Lower Radiator Fan Shroud – Heavy‑Duty Cooling Guide

This lower shroud channels air through the radiator so your engine keeps a steady temperature in traffic, towing, or off‑road use. It completes the fan tunnel, stopping hot air from swirling back and wasting cooling power. Built to OE geometry (ref. 21477VB300),it aligns perfectly with the core support and lower tank for reliable airflow and fan safety.

Why this part is needed

Without a proper channel, the fan pulls side air instead of pushing fresh air through the fins. The result: rising coolant temps, weak A/C at idle, and stress on the head gasket. This piece also shields the fan and radiator base from debris and splash.

How it works

The shroud forms a sealed lower path so the fan creates low pressure behind the radiator. Fresh air is forced through the core, improving heat exchange at low speed. Tough thermoplastic resists heat and vibration, mounting with factory clips/bolts for a snug fit.

What happens if it’s broken

Expect overheating at idle, temp spikes after climbs, boiling coolant, noisy fan, and even warped head or cracked tanks over time. Missing pieces cause airflow loss and shudder from poor fan guidance.
