Why it’s needed

Engines are air pumps. Any dirt in the air will grind piston rings, score cylinder walls, and contaminate oil. A fresh filter protects the intake path, stabilizes idle, and preserves power under load.

How it works ️

Pleated high-efficiency media sits in the airbox with a molded edge seal. As air is drawn in, the media traps fine particles (down to micron level) while the seal prevents bypass. The even pleat spacing keeps airflow stable for accurate MAF readings.

When clogged or damaged ⚠️

Expect sluggish acceleration, higher fuel use, induction hiss, and possible check engine light from skewed airflow data. A torn seal or collapsed element allows unfiltered air, causing premature wear and MAF contamination.
