This OEM-style intake filter protects your engine from dust, sand, and pollen. Fresh, clean air means stable power, smooth idle, and better fuel economy. It’s especially important for hard-working pickups that tow, haul, or drive on dirt roads.

Why this part is needed

The filter stops abrasive particles before they reach the cylinders and MAF sensor. Without it, micro-dust acts like sandpaper, wearing piston rings and turbo blades, raising consumption and emissions.

How it works

A pleated, multi-layer paper media traps contaminants while allowing steady airflow. A molded rubber seal locks into the airbox to prevent bypass. The pleats increase surface area, keeping restriction low as the filter loads with dirt.

What happens if it’s worn or broken

Clogged: sluggish acceleration, rich mixture, black smoke, higher fuel use. Torn or poorly sealed: dust ingress, MAF errors, turbo wear, engine scoring. Long-term neglect can lead to costly top-end repairs.

Tech tip

Replace every 10–15k km, or sooner in off-road or dusty use. Fit with the airflow arrow facing the throttle/turbo. Ensure the airbox lid clips evenly; no gaps.
