Engine Oil Pickup Strainer Assembly ️

This unit guards the heart of your engine by feeding clean, steady oil to the pump. It keeps pressure stable in daily driving and during hard cornering, so bearings, cams, and turbo stay protected. Without a healthy pickup and screen, the pump can ingest sludge and air, causing fast wear.

Why it’s needed ️

The fine mesh traps debris before it reaches the lubrication circuit. Its snorkel sits at the right height in the sump for quick priming on cold starts and reliable flow at high rpm.

How it works ⚙️

A sealed tube and stainless screen live inside the oil pan. The pump creates suction; oil passes through the mesh while air is kept out, building pressure to feed all galleries. OE geometry prevents starvation or aeration under G‑loads. Built to OEM spec with corrosion-resistant coating and rigid, TIG-welded bracket.

When it fails ⚠️

Clogged mesh, cracked tube, or a hard O-ring leads to low oil pressure light, lifter tick, bearing knock, and glitter in the drain. After long corners you may hear rattles as pressure dips. Keep driving and you risk spun bearings and turbo damage.

Tech tips

• Clean the sump; remove sludge and metal.
• Replace seal/gasket and inspect the pump face.
• Torque bolts; use medium thread locker.
• Check pan clearance; no dents at the inlet.
• Prime the system before first start.
