Rocker Cover Seal for Nissan engines ️

This high-temp valve cover seal keeps engine oil where it belongs and dust out of the valvetrain. It closes the gap between the cylinder head and the cover, protecting camshafts, lifters, and spark plug wells. An intact seal maintains oil pressure, reduces fumes, and keeps the top end clean for long service life.

Why you need it

Over time heat hardens the rubber, causing shrinkage and flat spots. Replacing the seal stops oil leaks, prevents coil pack contamination, and eliminates burning oil smells on the exhaust manifold.

How it works

Molded, oil‑resistant elastomer sits in the cover groove. When the cover bolts are torqued in sequence, the gasket compresses evenly to create a tight, reusable barrier. Many applications also seal plug tubes for dry, reliable ignition.

When it fails ️

• Wet valve cover edges and dirt buildup
• Oil in spark plug wells, misfires, rough idle
• Burning oil odor, light smoke, low oil level
• Seepage around half-moon corners and cam caps

Install tips: clean mating surfaces, add small RTV dabs at factory corner joints, and torque bolts in a crisscross pattern to spec.
