Engine Coolant Inlet Housing for Nissan – steady cooling, secure seal ❄️

This water inlet (radiator hose neck/thermostat housing neck) directs cooled antifreeze from the radiator into the pump and thermostat passage. Built to resist corrosion and heat cycles, it keeps the cooling circuit sealed and the temperature stable. Why you need it

It maintains correct coolant flow and pressure, preventing hot spots, detonation, oil breakdown, and premature gasket wear. A precise neck gives a tight hose seat, so no drips, air pockets, or false low-coolant readings. Smooth flow also improves heater output in cold weather.

How it works ✅

The inlet bolts to the engine face and aligns to the thermostat port. When the thermostat opens, coolant travels through this housing to the water pump. A machined flange, O‑ring/gasket, and rigid pipe keep the system leak‑free under vibration. Proper sizing stabilizes pump suction and radiator return.

If it fails ⚠️

Watch for sweet coolant smell, colored crust near the neck, damp undertray, fluctuating gauge, or weak cabin heat. Driving on can cause overheating, warped head, blown head gasket, damaged sensors, and pump cavitation.

Install tips

Clean mating surfaces, fit new gasket/O‑ring, torque evenly, use fresh hose/clamps, refill 50/50 and bleed air. Recheck after a heat cycle.
