Rear Main Oil Seal Retainer Assembly for Nissan/Infiniti

This precision carrier holds and centers the rear crankshaft oil seal, keeping engine oil inside where it belongs. Built to OEM geometry, the housing aligns to the block and oil pan rail, sealing the high-splash area at the back of the engine. A properly seated seal and retainer stop leaks at the bellhousing, protect the flywheel/flexplate, and maintain stable oil pressure for long engine life.

Why you need it

The rear of the crank sees constant oil and rotation. Without a true-running seal supported by a rigid retainer, oil seeps out, spreading onto the transmission area and exhaust. This assembly ensures concentricity, correct crush on the gasket/RTV bead, and reliable leak control.

How it works ⚙️

The spring-loaded seal lip rides on the crank journal while the retainer locks its position with dowels and bolts. A thin RTV bead seals the block-to-pan corners. When installed square and torqued to factory spec, it withstands heat, vibration, and crankcase pulses.
