Crankshaft Main Bearing Set for Nissan Engines ️

This set supports the crankshaft inside the block, holding precise oil clearance so the engine runs smooth and quiet. Install it during overhaul or when you see low oil pressure, bearing noise, or metal flakes in oil. Fresh bearings restore correct clearance and protect the crank journals.

How it works ⚙️

Each shell sits in the block and cap, forming a round bore for the crank. With engine oil, the surface creates a hydrodynamic film that carries the load. The soft overlay protects the crank, while the steel backing keeps shape. Correct grade/size keeps the oil wedge stable at all RPM.

What if worn or damaged ❗

Expect low oil pressure, knock on start or hot idle, vibration, and rising bearing temperatures. Continued use can spin a shell, score the crank, trigger the red oil lamp, and lead to seizure—often destroying the bottom end.

Install tips

Clean saddles and caps, match tangs, oil the faces, and torque to spec. Check clearance with Plastigauge. Align oil holes and thrust faces. Use the correct standard or undersize to match journal grind.
