Secondary Engine Oil Pan Assembly ️

This lower sump seals the bottom of the crankcase, stores engine lubricant, and channels it cleanly to the pickup. Internal baffles control slosh during braking and cornering, preventing aeration and keeping pressure stable. Built from corrosion‑resistant metal with a precision machined flange and serviceable drain port for clean oil changes.

Why you need it ️

Replace when the original is dented by road debris, corroded, seeping at the rail, or the drain threads are stripped. A new unit restores proper sealing, correct pickup clearance, and dependable oil pressure, extending engine life and reducing mess.

How it works

Oil returns by gravity to the sump after circulating through the engine. The pump draws from the pickup immersed in the reservoir; depth and shape keep the pickup covered. Baffles reduce foaming, while the flat rail mates to the block using gasket/RTV. Bolts tightened in sequence provide even compression and a leak‑free joint.

If it fails ⚠️

Expect leaks, burning‑oil smell, low oil level, flickering pressure light, noisy valvetrain, bearing wear, and possible overheating. Severe dents can starve the pump; cracks can cause rapid oil loss and catastrophic engine damage.

Install tips ✅

Clean mating surfaces, replace gasket/sealant, verify pickup clearance, transfer sensors/plug, and torque to spec in a cross pattern.
