Engine Piston with Wrist Pin for Nissan Compact Engines

This precision piston assembly restores factory compression, quiet operation, and clean exhaust. Built from heat-treated aluminum alloy with a low-friction skirt coating, it includes a hardened wrist (gudgeon) pin and secure circlips. Ideal when your engine shows low power, oil burning, or piston slap.

Why you need it ✅

Worn pistons and rings let gases leak past the cylinder, dropping compression and fuel economy. A fresh unit seals the combustion chamber, reduces blow-by, and stabilizes idle. It also prevents scoring from a loose or oval piston.

How it works ⚙️

During the power stroke, combustion pushes the crown down. The connecting rod transfers this force through the wrist pin to the crankshaft. Ring grooves host compression and oil-control rings: they seal, scrape excess oil, and keep the chamber tight under heat and load.

If damaged or worn ❗

Expect hard starts, misfire, blue smoke, high oil use, knocking, and metal debris. Severe failure can crack the crown, seize the cylinder, or throw the pin—leading to catastrophic engine damage.

Tech notes

Always measure bore, hone if needed, fit new rings, verify pin and clip seating, and match piston weight class. Use fresh oil and follow torque specs.
